We're on this great smoothie kick! And unlike smoothies that you get out, these are low in sugar and in calories. And, I think they are better!
For our Banana Berry Smoothie we used:
1 frozen banana cut into chunks
1 1/2 cups of frozen raspberries
1/2 - 3/4 cups of frozen strawberries
2 cups of fat free French vanilla yogurt (we use Stoneyfield)
In a blender place the yogurt, the bananas and the berries. I do find that it helps to microwave the strawberries (NOT the raspberries) for about 15 seconds to soften them just a little. I do cut the strawberries in half before I place them in the blender.
When the ingredients have been added place the top on firmly and blend until creamy and smooth. (Milkshake-like in thickness.)
Pour into 3 glasses and enjoy!
